Description

An original coloured pencil drawing by Ronald van den Boogaard of the legendary Shelby Cobra. Drawn won high quality paper with an A2 size.
The 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra is one of the most celebrated American sports cars of all time. The drawing of this one is just one of 580 leaf-spring examples fitted with the 289-cu-in Ford V8, this chassis carries a rich provenance, beginning with its delivery to California and a period of competition in autocross events. Its early life was marked by enthusiasm and ingenuity, with Borrani wheels and performance headers reflecting the spirit of 1960s American motorsport.

You can find my my motives and revelations in my artist statement.

Unfortunately this is a photograph, not entirely showing the finesse of this piece. A high quality scan will be published soon.
